On the 28th of November, in Shanghai, the China based campus of L’Ecole de design Nantes Atlantique will celebrate its 1st anniversary in China.

After one year of activity in China, the annual figures and facts of the China based campus of L’Ecole de design Nantes Atlantique speak for themselves:
- 750 Hours of class,
- 150 China-based teachers and professionals gathered in a strong network,
- 38 Master’s degree students,

Antoine Persyn, a 4th year student in the China based Master degree programme of L’Ecole de design Nantes Atlantique, created this beautiful « Iboga » lamp for the Shanghai Ecodesign Fair in April 2009.  Made out of bamboo wood, this lamp is meant to help people feel better at home like a medication. On April 18, 2009 the 13 students enrolled in the curriculum offered by L’École de design Nantes Atlantique’s Chinese subsidiary seized the opportunity to showcase their projects during the international Ecodesign Fair 2009 held in Shanghai. [Read more →]

Between the 17th and 18th of April, the students will participate in the Eco Design Fair 2009 in Shanghai. They will present there their works on bamboo stems.

Eco Design Fair : Event meant to propose sustainalble products to Shanghai citizens, it gathers products from over 30 eco-conscious businesses and groups include organic clothing, home accessories, furniture, natural beauty products, stationary, toys, building materials, organic food products plus more information on developing a more sustainable lifestyle. After 4 months of internships, the students had to present the different projects they worked on during their training session.

10 students over 11 had done their internship in Shanghai and one in Guangzhou.

10 students worked on product design projects and 3 of them on interior design.

3 of them worked for Chinese design agencies and 8 for foreign companies (German, Italian, French and Australian). [Read more →]
