Transcultural Design China

On Tuesday the 23rd of February, 5th year students presented their final year projects to the jury. This one was made of 4 people:
- Michel Grenier, Executive director at UTSEUS Sino-European School of Technology,
- Marie-Chantal Piques, Consumer goods Manager at Ubifrance (French Embassy),
- Thibault Poyet, Design Manager at CBD (Beijing),

On Monday the 22nd of February, the China based students of L’Ecole de design Nantes Atlantique started class again.

Program:

Cultural studies: Anthropology, Chinese, English, Communication, Chinese Culture
Business studies: Strategic Marketing, Intellectual Property
Design projects: 4 projects with different companies such as Supor

From the 4th to the 9th of January, SONG Guannan, the assistant and interpreter of the Chinese campus of L’Ecole de design Nantes Atlantique, came and visit the France based design school. Since she had never been there, she really appreciated meeting her colleagues. She will think of them back in China. [Read more →]

From the 23^rd to the 27^th of November 2009, the administration team of the Chinese Campus of L’Ecole de design Nantes Atlantique came and visit several Qingdao based design school to explain them how design teaching is organised in France.

Since their education system, in China, is really different, students from Qingdao Technological University 青岛理工大学,  Ocean University of China 青岛海洋大学, Qingdao University of Science & Technology 青岛科技大学 and Qingdao University 青岛大学 were really interested in these presentations. [Read more →]

On Wednesday the 17^th of December 2009, Frederic Degouzon, Head of Strategy, Research and International Development of L’Ecole de design Nantes Atlantique and Jocelyne Le Boeuf, Head of Studies came and visit the 5^th year students in Qingdao. From the 23^rd to the 27^th of November, Frédéric Bonin, the Head of Studies of China Campus, lead a design workshop at EM Lyon Shanghai, a top-tier French “Grande Ecole” teaching Management at a Master’s degree level. For 3 days, he helped EM Lyon students to create 3 business plans for new business projects. [Read more →]

On the 28th of November, L’Ecole de design Nantes Atlantique has celebrated its first anniversary in China.

About 100 visitors came and listened to the conferences and enjoyed the cocktail party all along the afternoon and evening at BAU-Brearley Architects and Urbanists studio on Fuxing road, Shanghai. [Read more →]

From the 3^rd to the 5^th of December 2009, L’Ecole de design Nantes Atlantique has participated in the Hongkong Inno Design Tech Expo 2009. Organised by the Hongkong Trade Development Council HKTDC aside the Hongkong Business of Design Week, the Hongkong Inno Design Tech Expo 2009 was this year meant to put France forward. [Read more →]

On the 30th of November 2009, the 5th year students of L’Ecole de design Nantes Atlantique visited Supor 苏泊尔 factory. Based in Hangzhou, 2 hours away from Shanghai, this factory produces small kitchen appliances such as rice cookers. It also hosts the Strategic Marketing and R&D centres of the China top-tier company. [Read more →]

On the 30th of December 2009, the 5th year students of the Chinese design school of L’Ecole de design Nantes Atlantique visited Hangzhou 杭州, one of the Chinese citizens favourite town in China.
This visit was a great opportunity for the students to discover China’s beauties and get to know China’s culture better. [Read more →]
